Why Juicing?
Most people think that drinking processed juice is healthy especially if it is labeled as natural or organic. What they do not know is that it is healthier to drink a juice when it's freshly squeezed out by a juicer.
Tips you should remember about processed juice:
- Our juicing recipes contain all the electrolytes (acids and salts) essentially needed to give energy to your body.
- Our juicing recipes contains micronutrients, which are what are commonly referred to as vitamins and minerals. Micronutrients are called micro- nutrients because your body needs only very small quantities of them for survival. So it is considered essential to juice to intake your vitamin and minerals.
- Our juicing recipes contain macronutrients, which mainly include carbohydrates, proteins and fats and also water which are required in large quantities and their main function being the release of energy in body.
Tips you should remember about processed juice:
- Processed juices do not contain the whole fruits and vegetables, so they may be nothing more than sugared water.
- Never be deceived by labels that say 100% juice and no sugar added. Take time to read the label of these processed juice and you will realize that all its ingredients contain sugar. Every gram of carbohydrates in that juice container comes from sugar.
- Although carbohydrates that came from fruits are sugar, when these fruits are being processed, all its natural fibers and minerals will be lost especially since it will be bottled and stored for quiet some time.
- Most juices that are fortified with calcium, vitamin d, iron, and any other vitamins and minerals they are putting on processed juices, will not be used once it gets inside your body. Do not think that you can fool your body into thinking that this is the real thing. Your body is smart enough to know that these so called fortified vitamins and minerals are not the real nutrients that real fruits and vegetables have.
- If you really love to drink juice, it is much healthier for you if you make it yourself. There are lots of appetizing juices that are loaded with natural vitamins and minerals. Learn to make one for yourself. Do not be too lazy. It will only take at least 10 to 15 minutes of your time. Once you start doing this habit, you will learn to never replace a real juice with processed one.
